How did Leonardo Da Vince influence public opinion by his realism paintings?I do not understand this question?

Da Vinci didn't influence people's opinions using realism since realism was the only style used during his day. He may have had in influence on other artists in his style of painting and drawing skills. And the public may have had they religious beliefs influenced/reinforced by his religiously themed work such as the 'Last Supper' and various portraits of Mary and the child, Mary and St. Ann,etc.. The question is oddly phrased.
