Why do some believe that they are christians simply for their belief, without taking account for their actions?

The Bible also mentions FAITH without WORKS is DEAD....so you are right there has to be an action to believing in God and his son ....1 Peter 2:21....Hebrews 11 ...also speaks about those who really had faith....Romans 15:4 ....these scriptures were written for our benefit
